  • DISCUSSION of thought leaders
  • How to make Slovakia the leader of modern Europe and the world
Even small countries have a chance to be a leader if they focus on an area where they stand on the same starting line with others and come up with something that others do not have and that is in demand. Europe is lagging behind in global cutting-edge technology race, needs strategic and technological independence, and is searching for solutions. This is the right time for Slovakia. It has a unique chance to build a supercomputer center at a small fraction of the cost of the world's most powerful centers. AI (Artificial Intelligence) is the future. Countries such as Singapore or the United Arab Emirates have realized this and follow the trend. Slovakia can be inspired by these powerful examples.
  • DISCUSSION: Why do we need a functioning and competitive digital state?
Discussions about leadership in any field lose their meaning if the functioning of the state, by its very nature, places obstacles and does not create an environment for the fulfillment of these ambitions. What does it mean in practice if we want Slovakia to be a world leader in something? In its current state, will the public sector support or hamper such efforts? Let us look at this through the eyes of those whose activities and business are significantly affected by the efficiency of state operation, rapid administration, availability of skilled labor and other areas, and answer the question of how the state and its digitization should go further, if Slovakia is really to play a leading role in something.

Speakers: Veronika Remišová (Deputy Prime Minister of investments, regional development and informatization of the Slovak Republic), Ronald Blaško (AmCham), Radoslav Danilák (Tachyum), Mário Lelovský (Republican Union of Employers), Anna Záhorčáková (DITEC)
