Radoslav Zamborský
Dr. Zamborský graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of Comenius University in Bratislava. He gained foreign experience in private clinics in Great Britain (Lourdes Hospital - Liverpool, Winfield Hospital - Gloucester, Rivers Capio Hospital - Peterborough, Sandringham Hospital, King's Lynn), where he gained important foreign contacts and insight into the problems of orthopedics, trauma surgery and sports medicine. After his return, he worked for almost 10 years at the Department of Trauma Surgery at the University Hospital in Bratislava, where he actively dealt with a wide range of patients with injuries to limbs and joints. His subsequent steps led him to the Orthopedic and Traumatology Department of St.Michal Hospital as well as to the Orthopedic Clinic of the LFUK of the National Institute of Children's Diseases in Bratislava, where he still works today and provides orthopedic care for pediatric patients. His main interest is also mini-invasive-arthroscopic surgery of joints, treatment of sports and other injuries, treatment of arthritic and degenerative joint diseases, correction of congenital and post-traumatic deformities and reconstructive procedures on the musculoskeletal system. He also supports the concept of regenerative medicine – treatment with stem cells, absorbable implants, biological replacement of bone and articular cartilage, thus copying modern treatment trends. He is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the Comenius University, where, in addition to teaching future doctors, he is involved in several projects and grant tasks, especially in the field of regenerative medicine, the use of stem cells in orthopedics, 3D printing in medicine, cartilage regeneration. One of his projects was awarded in the survey TOP innovations in healthcare in Slovakia in 2016. He presents and publishes his scientific knowledge and experience both domestically and internationally.
