The Future of Now
If there is something constant in the universe, that’s speed of light. And change. Change is a constant in today’s world. We are living through times where the present is leaving us... every single second. These are times where present is already past and the need to adapt and adopt new and emerging technologies has become instrumental for success. Organizations are being pressed with time-to-market issues while, in reality, they should a have time-to-value perspective. In an epoch where technology is pervasive and you can hardly find businesses that do not depend on technology, we have to face change as one critical variable in the planning of enterprise strategy. Because we have something crystal clear: that the future...is going to change. We have to capture the present realizing that it has already become past and that the next business iteration has already happened, whether we like it or not.
By attending this session, the attendee will enhance her/his perception on the importance of time when designing, planning and executing a business strategy. The difference between strategy and tactics will be mentioned as well as the need of adapting to change in a world with no secrets, no barriers, no frontiers. The attendee will gain a deeper understanding on the issues of adaptability, trustability and reliability and, more importantly, will discover that we are living in the future. The Future of NOW.

Next-Gen SOC for a post-pandemic SecOps
We are living through difficult times that require a new approach in general and in Security Operations in particular. These exceptional era that we are experiencing requires a new beginning. A new epoch where technology plays an instrumental role. From ensuring the right people have the right access to the right resources at the right time, to guaranteeing that intellectual property and sensitive information is protected and defended. It is fundamental that we embrace the coming months -even years- adapting and adopting a shift in perception and collaborating -not fighting- disciplines such as Machine Learning. The time has come to accelerate the digital highways that enable remote working and education, being serviced from afar and connecting with our loved ones. Controlling and monitoring what is happening from/to/through a network has become a board mandate and a business imperative.
By attending this session, the delegate will be able to start the conversation on what is required in this challenging times in the world of SecOps: not a digital transformation but a radical innovation; doing different things differently. Besides, she/he will be able to comprehend the dimensions of Effectiveness, Efficiency, Threat Detection, Monitoring, Control and Accountability from a Security Operations perspective. This is what is required. This is what is needed to endure in this post-pandemic era.

The Role of the (Cyber) Executive in the CyberEpoch
Security turned into Cybersecurity when we connected our systems and data started to flow around. Now, more than ever, it is instrumental to understand who has access to now, when, from where and why. It is critical to have full control over access to sensitive information, critical data from customers and other stakeholders. In a world where everybody has become a target, it is imperative that we embrace the shift in perception from technology risk to enterprise risk. It’s time to adapt and adopt emerging trends and technologies and govern the access to customer data, health records, billing information. We have to do it with the right mindset, the right attitude. And that’s the willingness of protecting and defending, with the right technologies, the right partner in a changing security landscape. It is time to understand when security became cybersecurity and the critical role of the (cyber) executive.
