Rastislav Karbas
Rastislav Karbas is the CEO of Prosoft Košice. During his extencive experience in the IT sector, he worked on several projects at home and abroad in the field of design and implementation of information systems and data centers, primarily targeting security aspect. Since 2015, he has been dedicated to the digitization of services in healthcare, where, together with the team, he is behind the introduction of pilot projects eRecept, eLab and the development of other services for policyholders. He is a member of several international working groups. Since 2019, he has been holding a position of General Manager at Prosoft, where he is involved in projects to digitize health care providers and develop a new generation hospital information system.

In this paper, we will look at how the digital transformation of the process of preparation and administration of drugs will help us increase the quality and safety of health care provided. In this presentation, we will look at how we can use the hospital information system to balance processes, technologies and data to increase patient safety and comfort, facilitate the work of doctors and nurses, and ultimately achieve greater stakeholder satisfaction. -
An efficient hospital
Hospitals in Slovakia are currently facing difficult challenges. In addition to the ongoing pandemic of COVID-19, they need to drastically reconsider their current process management. How can electronization help them move from the "paper age" to the digital one? The solution is modern IT technologies and systems that will comprehensively help them become an efficient hospital in all aspects. By using these systems, doctors and medical staff are relieved of lengthy and demanding administrative activities. The benefit of digitizing hospital systems is to ensure not only better diagnostics and patient care, but also more efficient financial management.
