Thomas Rössler
Dr. Thomas Rössler is a member of the e-Government unit of the Institute for Applied Information Processing and Communications (IAIK), Graz University of Technology. He is currently working in the field of IT security with a focus on topics concerning the Austrian e-Government initiative. He also contributes to several e-Government projects - e.g. the Austrian identification system (Austrian Citizen Card) - and supports the development of the Austrian ICT-Strategy. Since September 2005, he is deputy coordinator of the e-Government Innovation Center (EGIZ) which is a joint initiative of the Austrian Federal Chancellery and the Graz University of Technology. EGIZ supports the Austrian Federal Chancellery in further developing the Austrian ICT-Strategy by research and innovation. He is also project manager for the Austrian part in the EU large scale pilots STORK and SPOCS.
