Vladimír Raučina
I finished Mechanical Cybernetics, field Robotics, at Faculty of Civil Engineering SVŠT (today STU) and a special 4-semester study of journalistic basics at Faculty of Arts UK. Due to my study results, I could start my work career as a university professor at FEI STU. I started my business activities in 1990 as a co-found of Datalan company. In the time, I was in all top manager roles in various IT companies, where I had the chance to collaborate with number of very clever colleagues for example at development and implementation of considerable information systems (IS of State Treasury in Slovakia and Serbia). At the moment, I work as an advisor to Ministry of Justice of Slovak Republic for information technologies. My primary focus is to prepare documents for new information system implementation, especially Commercial Register IS and Central System of Court Management IS).
After I handed over the role of a professor at FEI STU, for more than 10 years besides being a manager I worked as a counsellor and trainer for sales, communication and effective company management. I have also worked in the field with unemployed to integrate them into reskilling process in order to find them new job opportunities. In 2016 I was appointed by Slovak Information Society as an ECDL coordinator in Slovakia. In this role, I deal primarily with projects aimed at improvement of digital skills in Slovakia.
