What is the importance of a healthy population? What advantages does better availability of innovations in healthcare bring? What is the importance of prioritizing investments in healthcare and improving the situation for cancer patients? How can prevention and innovative care for cancer patients improve their outcomes? What can Slovakia learn from other Central and Eastern European countries? What are the key elements of an innovative system of care? Using the example of lung cancer, we will show how healthcare systems manage the growing number of cancer patients. Prevention, screening, faster time to diagnosis, referral and treatment, improved management and multidisciplinary team approach in cancer centers, availability of innovative drugs, etc. will be discussed.

Although multiple sclerosis is an incurable disease, we can already manage it effectively today. Early initiation of disease-modifying therapy can significantly improve a patient's prognosis, leading to preservation of quality of life. Early and effective treatment of multiple sclerosis not only improves patient care but also saves costs in the healthcare system. This talk will address the importance of early use of high potency drugs in treatment and its impact on the long-term economic sustainability of healthcare.
